Who we work with
WordPress web design and development
Whether launching a new website or re-platforming an existing one, we can help you achieve (and exceed) your marketing objectives. From the first design to UX and building a secure architecture, our WordPress designers handle everything from start to finish—and it doesn’t end there. We offer ongoing hosting, maintenance, and security packages .
What makes us unique is our SEO experience. Unlike most WordPress website developers, we have a dedicated team of search engine optimisation experts who work closely with our designers to ensure that your site doesn’t just look good but performs well, too.
A streamlined process from start to finish
The WordPress journey starts with the initial meeting and ends with a compelling website that opens up your business to a world of customers on your virtual doorstep.
Initial meeting and briefing
Our first meeting marks the start of the project and a brand-new relationship. Our creative director, Tom Haslam, will take you through the briefing process (he’s a pro at listening and teasing out the right information). When everyone is satisfied with the brief, it’s time to start work.
Design and planning
This stage of the process is about turning your ideas into real-world designs primed with UX techniques to move users through your site. Our philosophy is collaborative, so you will have plenty of opportunities to provide feedback. We only stop when you’re happy with the design.
Staging and development
Next, we’ll start working on the build. We put our clients’ WordPress sites on a staging server so you can see what the site looks like as we build it. This also means that it can’t be found by the public and doesn’t interfere with your existing website. You’ll have the opportunity to make changes at this stage.
Website launch
Once you’ve signed off your new website, it’s time to hand over the keys. But we won’t leave you high and dry. As part of the go-live process, we’ll ensure the transfer from your old site to the new one isn’t going to damage your SEO. We’ll also train your staff on how to update the site.
Security, maintenance and ongoing support
Regular maintenance is crucial to keep your site functioning like new. WordPress updates its core CMS and plugins regularly, and if you don’t keep up, your brand-new site will splutter and stall. You’ll notice slower load times, and worse still, you’ll be leaving the site open to security breaches.
You can sign up for a WordPress maintenance package on retainer or buy support hours as and when you need them. With a retainer package if anything goes wrong, we start fixing the problem straight away, minimising any costly downtime.
Move your existing website to WordPress
WordPress is the most popular CMS, accounting for almost half of all websites worldwide. If you’re frustrated with your existing web platform and you want something different, consider WordPress. It’s functional, versatile, and above all, easy for you to update without relying on an agency.
Our WordPress developers have years of experience moving websites built on Magento, Shopify, and Wix over to WordPress. What’s more, they have the full support of our SEO team, so when you migrate your website, you won’t lose your hard-earned rankings (not something every agency can boast)!
“We approached Tom at Marketing Labs for help redesigning our WordPress site and we are thrilled with the results. He listened to our concerns and followed through with everything we asked for, on time. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Since we launched the new site online orders have increased and our customers are more than satisfied with the process.”
