Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) approached us, seeking to increase their brand awareness and improve engagement across paid social channels, with a particular focus on their lottery and regular giving campaigns.

The challenge

LNAA’s primary challenge was transitioning from established traditional marketing methods, flyers, local events, etc., into more modern, digital approaches, all while keeping their existing audience engaged.

Their donor base tends to skew older, and engaging that demographic through newer digital channels posed a risk: it required carefully balancing new methods without alienating loyal supporters. Additionally, they needed to maintain ongoing awareness so the lottery campaign would have enough visibility and drive sufficient donations.

The solution

We implemented a phased digital strategy designed to gradually move LNAA’s marketing mix toward a stronger online presence, while keeping its core supporters engaged. First, we targeted a younger demographic via social ads, using tailored creative and messaging to tap into audiences more accustomed to digital content and charitable causes online.

Next, we rolled out supporting campaigns that bridged the gap: content designed for older audiences, helping them feel comfortable with the shift, alongside digital ads. Finally, we established ongoing support: regular optimisations, monitoring performance, and refining both targeting and creative so LNAA can continue building both brand awareness and donations over the long term.
